Crown City Shirts
This custom-designed shirt is available in Emerald and in Classic-fit Pullover and Button-front styles. Made of Reyn Spooner®’s famous Spooner Kloth™ introduced in 1964, it is a breathable yet wrinkle free blend of cotton and spun poly. With their unique screen printing process, Spooner Kloth™ allows for the perfect ink penetration for that recognizable Reyn Spooner® reverse-print look. Additional information on sizes and fit can be found here: https://www.reynspooner.com/fit-guide/.
Reyn Spooner® quickly began making waves in the 1960's as "the Brooks Brothers of the Pacific". By combining traditional Ivy League style with innovations such as the washed down reverse-print concept, Reyn Spooner® reinvented aloha wear for Hawaii and the rest of the world. Their new take on the printed, button down collar shirt made Hawaiian shirts acceptable in the workplace, and helped invent “Aloha Friday.” Additional information on Reyn Spooner® can be found here: https://www.reynspooner.com/legacyheritage/.
Crown City Shirts
We've been fans of Reyn Spooner for more than 40 years. When we had the opportunity to work with them to design and produce an exclusive shirt featuring Coronado, we jumped at the chance.

The design for the Crown City Shirt is based on Reyn Spooner's iconic Lahaina Sailor design. Our shirt features four repeating images, including: The Hotel Del with fireworks exploding overhead; the USS CORONADO (LCS-4) passing under the bridge with sailboats in the background; a beach scene with a surfer girl, Pt. Loma in the background and an S-3 Viking flying into North Island; and the crown from the center section of the city flag. Forming the border between these images are hibiscus vines (the Crown of Bohemia hibiscus is the official city flower), tiki heads (for our Coronado Islanders), and a 92118 (the city’s zip code.) We hope you enjoy these shirts as much as we do!
